Early Head Start Teacher

General Description
Lenape Early Learning Center is seeking a qualified professional with their Child Development Associate Certification, Certificate of Mastery or a degree related to early childhood with experience in a full-time child care setting. Candidates without certificates but possess working experience who are willing to obtain proper certification within 18 months will also be considered. This person will be responsible for the implementation of curriculum and maintaining OKDHS licensing requirements at all times. This person will responsible for the day to day running of their designated classroom and must adhere to and complete all necessary child daily reports as well as maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement of a High-School Diploma/GED
  • Child Development Associate, Certificate of Mastery, or any degree related to education or early care preferred
  • If candidate does not possess certifications they must obtain a minimum of a CDA within 18 months of hire
  • Minimum of 1 year of child care experience
  • Minimum of 20 hours training required annually
  • Meet and maintain all state and licensing requirements, accreditation criteria, and LELC policies
  • Have no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions for offenses relating to children or violence, and satisfactorily complete the required background check and drug testing
  • Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
  • Requires a high level of problem solving, organization skills, and must be a self-starter
  • Requires good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Requires a high level of confidentiality and flexibility.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Arrive promptly at the beginning of your shift Monday thru Friday
  • Follow all guidelines established by OKDHS
  • Develop and implement weekly lesson plans using the Oklahoma Early Learning Guidelines as well as the designated curriculum.
  • Rotate, add, and arrange classroom equipment to support children’s learning activities reflected on lesson plans and to engage children’s imaginations and interests
  • Conducts child observations and bi-annual parent teacher conferences.
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrate unity and be a positive role model for families, co-workers, and children
  • Follow the chain of command with any issues or concerns
  • Attends virtual and in person trainings

Family Child Care Coordinator

General Description
Lenape Early Learning Center is seeking a qualified professional to oversee the Family Childcare program. This person will oversee the enrollment of families participating the program. An ideal candidate will assist families with completing the application of childcare services not within the Lenape Early Learning Center. This person will establish relationships and work closely with families who are receiving in home childcare services. This person will need to provide a high level of customer service skills as well as communication skills. This position will require attention to details and proficiency in computer skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement of a High-School Diploma/GED
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Social Services is preferred
  • Or at least 1 year experience working with community outreach programs, childcare, or a combination of relevant field experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Accounting, professional budgeting or related experience
  • Have no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions for offenses relating to children or violence, and satisfactorily complete the required background check and drug testing
  • Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
  • Requires a high level of problem solving, organization skills, and must be a self-starter
  • Requires good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and procure families who may benefit from this service.
  • Be a positive point of contact for prospective and enrolled families.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Establish working relationships with the Leadership team
  • Plan and procure events for community resource and outreach
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Effective time management and strong organizational skills essential
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Demonstrate unity and be a positive role model for families, co-workers, and children
  • Follow the chain of command with any issues or concerns
  • Attends virtual and in person trainings.

Congrats Abbey on being Queen and your senior year. We hope to see you working again this summer around the Tribe.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Tribal Offices To Operate Appointment-Only Effective January 24, 2022

Due to the recent rise in COVID-19 cases in our community and in general, EFFECTIVE MONDAY JANUARY 24TH the Delaware Tribe of Indians tribal offices will operate on an appointment-only basis. General Description
The Enrollment Clerk for the Delaware Tribe of Indians is an integral part of the Enrollment Department. This employee is responsible for processing enrollment applications, maintaining files, providing customer service and assisting the Director in the day-to-day operations of the Department.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in Progeny Membership Data Software – required proficiency within 30 days of hire
  • Experience in genealogy research

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand and adhere to the Delaware Tribal Membership Act
  • Process enrollment applications
  • Process requests including, but not limited to, those for demographic changes, enrollment verifications, fishing permits, and replacement cards as permitted by the Delaware Tribal Membership Act
  • Provide exceptional customer service to Delaware Tribal members
  • Insure electronic files are maintained and up-to-date
  • Insure paper files are maintained and up-to-date
  • Other duties as assigned by Enrollment Director
