Scholarship Opportunities
Cedar Tree Foundation Scholarship
The Delaware Tribe of Indians has received a $100,000 grant from Cedar Tree Foundation to assist Delaware Tribal Youth access to higher education. Eligible full-time applicants will receive up to $1,400 in scholarship funding, and part-time applicants will receive up to $500 in scholarship funding.
This program is intended to provide financial assistance for Delaware Tribal members who are enrolled in higher education, The Scholarship Program is meant to provide Delaware Tribal members with financial support for affording tuition to College/University.
Applications will be received on a first come, first serve basis. Approved applications will be notified until program funds are depleted. Scholarship funds are not available for individual living expenses but must be used to cover tuition costs for educational programs.
Delaware Tribe applicant understands that receipt of scholarship assistance, may affect FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) if you’ve reached your maximum amount for which you are eligible. If you have questions about getting additional aid, talk to the financial aid staff at your school prior to applying.

Rose Pavluk Memorial Scholarship
The Delaware Tribe of Indians is pleased to introduce the Rose Pavluk Memorial Scholarship program for enrolled Delaware Tribal Members. This Scholarship is created in honor of Rose Pavluk whose generosity and open heartedness touched so many.
Funded by the family of Rose, this program is intended to provide economic relief for Delaware Tribal Members obtaining higher education.
Rose Pavluk Memorial Scholarship: This program is to provide financial assistance for Delaware Tribal members who are enrolled in higher education, ensuring access to adequate funding to support their post-secondary education including trade or technical school, two year or community college or four-year college. This Program is meant to provide Delaware Tribal members with financial support for affording College/University/Technical School costs.
The family of Rose Pavluk have set aside $4,000 annually and worked with the Tribal Council to implement this Scholarship Program to assist Delaware Tribal members access to afford higher education. Two eligible full-time applicants will receive $1,500 in scholarship funding, and two part-time applicants will receive $500 in scholarship funding annually.

Please refer to this list of materials you will need to submit to be considered for this scholarship:
- Copy of Tribal Membership Card
- Proof of full or part-time enrollment (acceptance letter AND recent transcript.)
- Completed Rose Pavluk Memorial Scholarship Program application
- Grade Point Average
- Maximum 200 word essay
All scholarship recipients will be given the opportunity to sit on the Rose Pavluk Memorial Scholarship Program Committee upon completion of studies. You may also choose to write an essay to put in the Delaware Indian News explaining the following:
- Why you chose the studies that you are currently learning?
- Where are you today in your educational goal?
- What are your plans after graduation?
How to Submit Your Application
Spring semester applications may be submitted from December 1 – February 15, while Fall semester applications may be submitted from July 1 – September 15
