Delaware Days

Delaware Days 2012, which is sponsored by the Delaware Tribe’s Culture Preservation Committee, will be held at the Fall-Leaf Dance Grounds northeast of Copan on September 28 and 29. The events will begin on Friday evening with a stomp dance with Social Dance songs. In the late afternoon on Saturday there will be presentations to certain tribal members. One will be the elder of the year, and the other is the honored veteran. On Saturday at 5:30 there will be a potluck supper at which the Culture Committee will supply the meat, and everyone else should bring something to share. There will then be a stomp dance with Social Dance songs. Please make plans to join us.
