Join the Cultural Preservation Committee in the FCS Building for our last song & dance practice of the year! We will also be welcoming SMC youth & enjoying a delicious meal cooked by Kay Anderson. So come hungry and ready to sing & dance!

Applicants should be on the lookout for an acknowledgement letter via mail. If you were approved for firewood, expect a phone call to set up a time and date for pick-up.

(Original) This program is for Delaware tribal members only and is for propane, natural gas, and firewood. One application per household. Copy of Delaware Tribal ID, State-issued ID, and currently dated gas bill or propane invoice in Delaware tribal member’s name required with application. Only ONE application per household will be accepted.

Upon application approval, a one-time payment will be made directly to the utility/propane provider.

Approved firewood applicants will be contacted to schedule a date and time for pick up.

Program available until funds/firewood are expended.

Flag Raising & Ceremony To Be Held at Delaware Veterans Memorial Wall November 11

Attention all Delaware Veterans: The Delaware Tribe of Indians will hold a Veterans Day event at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Wall on November 11, 2024. There will be a flag raising & ceremony at 9:00 A.M. followed by breakfast at Forsythe Hall at 9:30. We hope you will all come join us to honor our Delaware Veterans!

Housing Committee Seeking New Members Until November 1, 2024

The Delaware Tribal Council is currently accepting resumes and questionnaires for two seats on the Housing Committee. Please contact the Chief’s Executive Assistant by email at dmurrell@delawaretribe.org or by phone/text at (918) 914-3142 to obtain an Appointee Questionnaire and Verification Form to fill out and return.

Qualifications

Any enrolled member of the Delaware Tribe of Indians who is at least twenty-one (21) years old and has sufficient knowledges of housing, business, or finance is eligible to serve on the Housing Committee. No person shall be barred from serving on the Housing Committee because her or she is a tenant or homebuyer in a housing project of the Tribe, and such Committee member shall be entitle to fully participate in all meeting concerning matters that affect all of the tenants or homebuyers, even though such matters affect him or her as well.

UPDATE: Absentee Ballot Requests Deadline Extended to October 18

2024 Election Bulletin

Election Day is the first Saturday in November

(3) Tribal Council seats, (1) Trust Board Chair, (3) Trust Board seats, and (2) Appellate Tribal Judge seats are up for election. (Seats up for election)

All registered voters can choose either to vote in person or vote by Absentee Ballot via US Mail

All Tribal members that voted in the last three consecutive elections will automatically receive an Absentee Ballot.

Tribal members not voting in the last three consecutive elections wanting to vote by Absentee Ballot will need to ensure their request for an Absentee Ballot is received by October 4, 2024. There will be (1) polling location to cast your vote in person:

  • Location to be determined within 30 days but not more than 45 days prior to the election date

Filing window for candidates to declare for a specific office is August 1 until September 1, 2024. All candidate declaration forms must be submitted by U.S. Mail ONLY to Delaware Tribe Election Board, P.O. Box 1198 Bartlesville, OK 74005 and post marked by September 1.

All requests for Absentee Ballots must be received by October 18, 2024 (UPDATED) to receive a ballot via US Mail. Request forms must be submitted by U.S. Mail ONLY to Delaware Tribe Election Board, P.O. Box 1198 Bartlesville, OK 74005.

Your tribal registration number appears with your name on the mailing label of this and all election correspondence.
