General Description
The Transitional Housing and Outreach Coordinator’s main role is to manage the division’s transitional housing program and coordinate community outreach and marketing campaigns. The coordinator will assist clients in securing appropriate housing, meet with landlords and develop partnerships, oversee marketing and advertising initiatives, and organize agency representation at community events and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences with a minimum of three years of experience; OR 5+ years of experience working in the fields of domestic violence advocacy, crisis intervention, low-income housing, marketing, and/or community outreach.
- Must be skilled in working with sensitive issues and possess a commitment to respecting the confidential nature of the work.
- Must have a proven ability to work effectively with diverse clients and resource services.
- Must have a demonstrated problem-solving approach to concerns and challenges.
- Must be proficient in data collection and reporting, and possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of family violence dynamics, trauma informed advocacy services, environmental stressors, safety planning, risk assessments, local community resources, and federal and state laws pertaining to domestic abuse, Family law and the Victim Rights Bill is critical.
- Knowledge about housing laws, such as the Fair Housing Act and housing assistance programs such as such as HUD and Section 8 would be helpful, though not required.
- The ideal candidate would be extremely organized, detail-oriented and passionate about helping survivors of domestic violence.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with victim advocates to assist their clients in finding safe housing and coordinate follow-up services for program participants.
- Communicate with landlords and property managers to create lasting partnerships, ensure rent payments are made on time, and necessary documents are exchanged.
- Track program participation and report data per grant requirements.
- Research best practices, revise policies & procedures, and explore opportunities to expand the transitional housing program to meet community needs.
- Create and implement annual marketing strategy to increase community awareness.
- Work with advertising partners to develop informative materials and branded products.
- Coordinate division representation at community events and meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Family & Children Services.

- Work with area grocery stores to increase food pick-ups from stores using Tribal transportation
- Utilize FIFO inventory practices to ensure food quality and minimize waste

- Assist other staff and volunteers
- Help manage client parking and distribution process
- Maintain a clean, well-ordered warehouse and property
- Operate electric forklift and box truck as necessary (will train if needed)

Staff Accountant – Farming

General Description
The Farm Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate accounting records are kept for receipt and/or cash disbursements and will maintain a variety of financial transactions and records; compiling information and preparing reports for the Tribe’s Ranch operations and Meat Processing Plant. Candidate should be able to prepare, analyze and disseminate company financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets, etc.) Candidate shall feel confident in maintaining books of Tribe’s Ranch. The candidate shall serve as the point of contact for farm managers and all Ranch related financial inquiries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a degree in a related field, such as Finance or Business Administration, with 10 years of experience in farm accounting preferred
- Certified Public Accountant preferred, but not required
- Must be a self-starter, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial reports for the Controller to be presented to Tribal Council.
- Reconcile bank statements for managed Ranch operations.
- Prepare journal entries ensuring that journal entries have proper back up to substantiate the entry.
- Manage Accounts Payable for Ranch related payables. Pay invoices and prepare checks to be signed by Chief, Assistant Chief and Treasurer.
- Communicate with Ranch Manager and on site Ranch bookkeeper to answer any accounting related questions
- Travel to the Ranch in Sedan, KS may be required from time to time
- Assist with annual audit and physical inventory count.
- Analyze cost accounting data
- Set-up, update standard costs of manufactured goods
- Ability to confirm and reconcile general ledger account balances, maintain general ledger.
- Maintain permanent files on tribal activities as pertains to the Ranch.
- Work with department to prepare detailed expense budgets, analyze budget to actual variances and review with Controller.

General Description
The Tribal Operations Manager provides oversight to all Delaware Tribal Programs on behalf of the Chief and the Tribal Council and acts as their liaison to the tribal employees. This is an at-will position serving at the pleasure of the Chief as well as being a political appointment of the Chief.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or other similar degree and/or five years executive management experience (tribal government experience preferred but not required).
- Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics.
- Requires a high level of problem solving skills.
- Requires familiarity with grant writing, administration, and compliance with grant regulations.
- Requires familiarity with PL638 and the BIA.
- Requires familiarity with the concepts of project management.

- Requires familiarity with planning concepts and processes including but not limited to program planning.
- Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Hiring and oversight of department director level employees of all tribal programs.
- Provides oversight to all tribal programs in planning and budgeting for Tribal Council approval.
- Communicates with the staff on behalf of the Chief and Tribal Council.
- Communicates with the Chief and the Tribal Council on behalf of the staff.
- Conducts regular staff meetings and compiles monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for the Chief and the Tribal Council.
- Ensures that all department directors are enforcing Delaware Tribal policies and procedures throughout the tribal programs.
- Approves all voucher/purchase requisitions for all tribal programs up to a certain amount.
- Provides program development for Tribal Council approval.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief and the Tribal Council.
