General Description
The Director of the I.T. Department is responsible for maintaining and improving all I.T. functions for the Delaware Tribe of Indians.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or other related field and/or 10 years experience in I.T.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead Delaware Tribal I.T. Department and provide direction and oversight to all Tribal employees.
  • Produce monthly and annual reports as required.
  • Produce annual plan, including budget, for the department for approval by the Tribal Operations Manager.
  • Manage the infrastructure of the network.
  • Arrange relationship with network consultants to insure a high-level of connectivity.
  • Provide daily desk top support; including but not limited to, lost passwords, email issues, printer/scanner connectivity, and software installation.
  • Maintain software inventory and licensing.
  • Advise on all software and I.T. purchases.
  • Manage phone network and act as liaison with telephone and I.T. consultants.
  • Maintain linked networks with other tribal program sites.
  • Help design computer-involved large-scale projects.
  • Be point of contact for all upgrades and purchases of I.T. software or hardware.
  • Organize data back up and security.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Answer service desk calls.
  • Ability to handle client escalations and issues appropriately
  • Provide support for users in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and all other programs.
  • Assist with Account Management functions within Active Directory Add/Modify/Delete.
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate printer/fax/copier issues with managed print services vendor and follow up to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Provide support of virtual and non-virtual systems and software.
  • Other duties as assigned by Tribal Operations Manager.

Assistant Tribal Operations Manager

General Description
The Assistant Tribal Operations Manager provides assistance and oversight to all Delaware Tribal Programs on behalf of the Executive Director of Tribal Operations, Chief & Council and acts as their liaison to the tribal employees. This is an at-will position serving at the pleasure of the Chief as well as being a political appointment of the Chief.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or other similar degree and/or five years management experience (tribal government experience preferred but not required).
  • Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics.
  • Requires a high level of problem solving skills.
  • Requires familiarity with grant writing, administration, and compliance with grant regulations.
  • Requires familiarity with PL638 and the BIA.

  • Provides oversight to all tribal programs in planning and budgeting for Tribal Council approval.
  • Communicates with the staff on behalf of the Chief and Tribal Council.
  • Communicates with the Chief and the Tribal Council on behalf of the staff.
  • Conducts regular staff meetings and compiles monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for the Chief and the Tribal Council.
  • Ensures that all department directors are enforcing Delaware Tribal policies and procedures throughout the tribal programs.
  • Approves all voucher/purchase requisitions for all tribal programs up to a certain amount.
  • Provides program development for Tribal Council approval.

Housing Maintenance & Safety Lead

General Description
Desired applicant must be able to perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks of routine difficulty in homes, duplexes, apartments and outdoors. Applicant must be self-motivated and able to work with elderly tenants and families. Tasks will involve repairs, cleaning and maintaining assigned properties. Preventive maintenance, ground keeping and property inspections, including assigned work orders and other duties as assigned.

Full time position Monday – Friday, under the general supervision of the Maintenance Lead and the Housing Director.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED, plus 1-2 years of experience and/or training in residential building maintenance and grounds keeping.
  • Must possess an Oklahoma Driver’s License and be eligible to be added to the DTOI’s insurance and both must be maintained as a condition of employment.
  • Must be able to pass drug test and background check.
  • Must be able to communicate well, both oral and in writing, be able to manage people, and be able to shift assignments based on priority and /or direction.
  • Must have the knowledge and experience to properly utilize, a variety of construction hand and power tools including chop saws, power washers and generators.
  • The ability to correctly follow and give instructions for make-housing units ready for immediate move-ins, which, may include but not limited to: follow painting instructions, drywall preparation and repair instructions, texturing and sealing methods instruction, floor care instructions, the basic plumbing and electrical repair and grounds keeping.
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, pull or move objects weighing 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with safe techniques.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to keep records, project tracking reports, and must be self-motivated.
  • Ability to accurately estimate time and materials required for repairs and/or maintenance work.
  • Ability to work outdoors daily.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must be able to receive after work hours On Call request on a routine basis and either complete after hours work orders or temporary correct the problem until normal hours to fully correct the problem or call specific business if unable to or if a licensed business is required
  • Perform maintenance and repairs to residential units to include but not limited to: basic plumbing issues, pumps fixtures, minor electrical, window and door repairs or installation cabinets repair, cleaning, floor care including installations of vent, concrete repair
  • Ability to learn to identify and report any irregular, unsafe or hazardous conditions in units or on DTHP grounds

    General Description
    The Tribal Domicile is a division of the Delaware Tribe of Indians that has regulatory authority over companies formed and licensed under the Title 18 Business Corporation Act and Limited Liability Companies Act. These companies are either authorized to operate as a licensed insurance company under the Title 27 Insurance Company Act or are in the business of administering any aspect of a company licensed under the Insurance Company Act.

    The Tribal Domicile is seeking a qualified professional to assist with day-to-day activities of forming, licensing, and recording companies formed or domesticated under the authority of The Tribal Domicile. This position will perform routine reinsurance administrative duties, such as maintaining records and processing and verifying new business. A high level of attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously is required. Interpersonal skills are pertinent as this person will be working closely with the Insurance Commissioner as well as an offsite contractor, Tribal Support Services.

    Will be required to do basic food preparation, serving of meals, and be responsible for cleaning the kitchen and eating area. Follow strict hygiene, health and safety rules.

    Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds. Employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, handle, lift and grab objects. May occasionally be required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • To assist in the preparation of food
    • To assist in the serving of meals to clients, staff and others and the setting and clearing of tables.
    • To assist in the preparation and serving of beverages to staff, clients and others
