General Description:

The Delaware Tribe of Indians is embarking on the planning and development of a tribal cultural center to serve as both a repository of our most sacred pieces of tribal heritage as well as an inspirational space for the perpetuation of our language and culture. We are currently in the early planning stages of this institution and are looking to hire a Director whose training and experience can help us create and manage a truly world class museum.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in museum studies or a related field, at least 2 years of museum experience, a dedicated interest in fundraising and experience working for and with Indian tribes. Demonstrated experience in developing innovative exhibits and grant writing are a plus. The ideal candidate is an independent, self-motivated individual who has worked for museums and enjoys planning creative exhibits in a collaborative atmosphere. Native American and tribal preference will also be given.

General Description: The receptionist employed by the Delaware Tribe of Indians answers inquiries and obtains information for the general public, tribal members, visitors, and other interested parties. They also provide information regarding activities conducted by the Delaware Tribe of Indians; location of satellites, departments, offices, and employees within the tribal government.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Must become proficient in ESI phone network within thirty days of hire. Requires a high level of multi-tasking ability. Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.

General Description:

The Delaware Tribal I.T. Specialist is responsible for maintaining and improving all I.T. functions for the Delaware Tribe of Indians.

Qualifications:

Bachelor or Associate degree, ideally in technology-related field, Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field and/or 2 years experience in I.T, Familiarity with Microsoft Windows platform (Windows 2012 Server R2 and Windows 7), Familiarity with software used by the tribe including Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Preferred: Familiarity with Kerio Mail Server, Past Perfect, Progeny ES, Housing Data Systems (HDS), ArcGIS, Experience in website design and maintenance.

Note: This position starts at $16 p/h.

General Description:

The Housing Financial Clerk assumes the responsibility for the accuracy of the Housing Data System (housing activity tracking software) and the performance of reconciliations of all activity associated with the records contained in the Housing Data System software.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 2 years experience in the bookkeeping field
  • Proficiency in 10-key preferred but not required
  • Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
  • Requires a moderate level of problem solving skills
  • Must have the ability to manage time well and work under stressful conditions
  • Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions
  • Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Requires good interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
  • Must have own transportation and clean driving record; may be required to drive GSA vehicle or tribal vehicle to meeting or training

General Description:

Provide direction and oversight to the department in order to best serve the nutritional needs of the elders utilizing the service. Supervise a staff of 3 to provide daily noon meal and activities to 50 elders. Collaborate with area agencies to develop & disseminate resource guide of elder support services. Manage federally-funded program and submit periodic reports to tribal management and federal agencies.

Qualifications:

Familiarity with U.S. DHHS/ACL, Title VI Part A&C operation and management. Must have or qualify for state food handler’s license. Demonstrate basic understanding of special dietary needs diets of the elderly, Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs. Ability to write public outreach information for written and electronic publication.

Housing Maintenance Worker III

Under the general supervision to Maintenance Lead. Will do repairs, clean and maintain assigned properties within the preventive maintenance, ground keeping and property inspections, including assignments for maintenance work orders from the Delaware Tribal Government that may involve a time span of minutes or as much as a full week, depending or need and /or typical duties may require.

Qualifications

Child Support Services Case Specialist

Requirement is a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work or related social service field and a minimum of two years experience in social services work in public or private sector. Requires proven ability to read court orders, to assess/evaluate written legal documents, and to implement child support guidelines. Work history should reflect proficiency in case management and participation in court intervention cases concerning child support enforcement issues. Must demonstrate knowledge of interview methods and techniques. Must have strong computer skills in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and other data-related software programs. Must possess excellent oral and written commnnication skills. Must exhibit the ability to recognize and use accordingly skills related to confidentiality issues and professionalism issues. Must be able to work flexible hours. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable. Must be able to pass a background check (no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions for offenses relating to children) and drug test.
