Childcare Family Services Coordinator

General Description
Childcare Family Service Coordinator is responsible for providing family service assistance for families with children enrolled in the Lenape Early Learning Center. FSC has the responsibility for family support services including implementing, coordinating and providing direct case management services to EHS-CC families, developing and implementing partnerships with EHS-CC families including Family Partnership Agreements. Must coordinate/provide training to parents and community agencies; monitor the implementation of social services, parent involvement, volunteer services, and community partnerships and assist with the health and other support services provided to families. In conformance with QRIS Performance Standards, assist families to build on their strengths and develop plans to address areas of concern, including job market assistance, and resource identification. Must demonstrate ability to work effectively with people, possess excellent problem solving, planning, and organizational skills. Be patient, able to resolve conflicts, gentle, kind, creative, resourceful, detail and multi-task orientation with a strong desire to succeed and be able to cope well with stress. This is a Salary position and sometimes may require travel, or occasional overtime on evenings and or weekends.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Education, or Social Services preferred or a suitable combination of college coursework with field experience will be considered.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of 20 hours training required annually
  • Meet and maintain all state and licensing requirements, accreditation criteria, and LELC policies

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and procure events for monthly community resource and outreach
  • Work with Teaching Staff to conduct ongoing child assessments, and bi-annual parent teacher conferences.
  • Will work with Support Staff and Child Care Director to ensure Programmatic objectives and goals are met.

General Description
The Ranch Manager is primarily responsible for carrying out the day-to-day operations of the of the Delaware Tribe Ranch. The Ranch Manager shall also be the primary supervisory authority over all subordinate ranch personnel. This is a Salary position and sometimes may require travel, or occasional overtime on evenings and/or weekends.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • No prior felony convictions. No misdemeanor convictions within one year of application date. No convictions for any crime involving domestic violence, sexual assault, dishonesty, or fraud. No pending criminal charges.
  • Minimum 5 years ranching experience or agricultural equivalent.

  • Overseeing all subordinate ranch personnel.
  • Maintaining a working relationship with hunters who may lease the property and other contractors hired to maintain or do work on the Delaware Tribe Ranch.
  • Supervising visitors to the Delaware Tribe Ranch and providing ranch tours as necessary.
  • Providing written and oral reports to the Tribal Council and Delaware Tribe Ranch Board.
  • Keeping accurate and up to date cattle, equipment, and expenditure records and reports to provide to the Tribal Council and Delaware Tribe Ranch Board.
  • Assisting the Delaware Tribe Ranch Board in preparing an annual business report and budget.
  • Attending monthly Delaware Tribe Ranch Board meetings to report and discuss ranch operations.

General Description
The Housing Director is responsible providing quality tribal housing programs and services to Native Americans residing within the Delaware Tribe’s service area.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or Associates Degree in applicable field.
  • Or at least four years’ experience with verifiable Certifications in Housing Industry.
  • At least one year supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge and Experience managing housing programs regulated by NAHASDA and HUD.
  • Complete annual Indian Housing Plan (IHP) and Annual Performance Review (APR) within established deadlines as required by HUD.
  • Familiarity with Budgets, Grants Compliance, regulations and Native American Law.
  • Requires high level of knowledge of industry standard building codes.
  • Requires a high level of communication and team work skills with in the Office environment and field operations.
  • Requires a high level of problem solving skills and decision making.
  • Requires ability to use Microsoft Office programs with proficient EXCEL usage.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all services and activities with in the Housing Department’s Scope of operations.
  • Monitor program compliance with laws, rules, regulations and requirements of the DTHP, Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and the funding source.
  • Prepare revisions and updates of the Delaware Tribe’s Housing Policy as needed, to present to the Tribal Council for approval.
  • Maintain records in compliance with HUD and other audit requirements.
  • Possess knowledge of city, county and state health, social, and economic services and resources available to DTHP senior, disabled, youth, and family residents and compliance with ADA.
  • Effectively communicate the goals, objectives, and success of the DTHP programs to the community.
  • Manage service contracts including reviews of reports, approval of invoices, modifications to contracts, contract closeouts, and correspondence with contractors as necessary.
  • Work with the Delaware Tribal Accounting department to monitor spending and contract closeouts
  • Monitor program budgets together with Accounting, Tribal Operations Manager, Tribal Council, Chief, and appropriate staff.
  • Supervise and guide staff using management practices that develop and retain highly competent and productive employees.
  • Create and maintain department policies and procedures; as well as monitor their effectiveness.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Tribal Operations Manager.

Mobile Domestic Violence Victims Advocate

General Description
The primary role of the Domestic Violence Victims’ Advocate is to support and assist victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, harassment, teen dating violence, and human trafficking in the community remove client barriers to safety and self-sufficiency. The Domestic Violence Victims’ Advocate will develop partnerships with court personnel, shelters, and community agencies to coordinate, collaborate and leverage resources and services to clients. All services will be client-centered and provided with the best interest of the client. The Domestic Violence Victim Advocates will work closely with the Transitional Housing Advocates. Assigned service area will be Chautauqua, Elk, and Montgomery OR Wilson, Neosho, and Labette Counties in Kansas. Company vehicle will be provided for work travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences with a minimum of three years of experience OR 5+ years of experience working in the fields of domestic violence advocacy, crisis intervention, application of victim protective orders, and navigation of court systems.
  • Must have a demonstrated problem-solving approach to concerns and challenges.
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills and must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of family violence dynamics, trauma informed advocacy services, environmental stressors, safety planning, risk assessments, local community resources, and federal and state laws pertaining to domestic abuse, Family law and the Victim Rights Bill.
  • Knowledge of family systems, cultural and ethnic diversity, client engagement and community resources. Experience in assessment and intervention desired.
  • The ideal candidate would be extremely organized, detail-oriented and passionate about helping survivors of domestic violence.
  • Position requires occasional in state and out of state travel. Must have dependable transportation. Must possess and provide verification of valid driver’s license; and must maintain and provide verification of current automobile insurance. A clear motor vehicle driving record is required to operate tribal GSA vehicles.

Job Responsibilites

  • Supports Domestic Violence Victim clients with admission into the program through intake, in identifying and obtaining resources for basic needs, ongoing client advocacy, goal-setting assistance, crisis advocacy, obtaining victim protection order, assists with navigation of legal process, attends and participates at partner meetings and community engagement events, and safety planning.
  • Communicate with community partners and court personnel to create strong service collaborations.
  • Answers calls on the 24-hour crisis line during week-long rotating shifts.
  • Return telephone and email communications promptly.
  • Collaborate with Transitional Housing Advocates to assist their clients in finding safe housing, self-sufficiency, and coordinate follow-up services for program participants.
  • Collaborates with Outreach Coordinator to seek out and provide educational outreach activities to inform the community about the dynamics of domestic violence and increase awareness of the services offered at FCS.
  • Provide services in a manner that supports best practices, client centered, and trauma informed.

General Description
The primary role of the Transitional Housing Advocate is to support and assist victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, harassment, teen dating violence, and human trafficking in the community find transitional housing services to remove client barriers to safety and self-sufficiency. The Transitional Housing Advocate with develop partnerships with landlords, shelters, and community agencies to coordinate, collaborate and leverage resources to clients. All services will be client-centered and provided with the best interest of the client. The Transitional Housing Advocate will work closely with the Domestic Violence Victim Advocates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in social sciences with a minimum of three years of experience OR 5+ years of experience working in the fields of domestic violence advocacy, crisis intervention, low-income housing.
  • Must have a demonstrated problem-solving approach to concerns and challenges.
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills and must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge about housing laws, such as the Fair Housing Act and housing assistance programs such as HUD and Section 8 would be helpful, though not required.
  • The ideal candidate would be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping survivors of domestic violence.
  • Knowledge of family systems, cultural and ethnic diversity, client engagement and community resources. Experience in assessment and intervention desired.
  • Position requires occasional in state and out of state travel. Must have dependable transportation. Must possess and provide verification of valid driver’s license; and must maintain and provide verification of current automobile insurance. A clear motor vehicle driving record is required to operate tribal GSA vehicles.
  • Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics.
  • Abides by the Delaware Tribe of Indians policy on confidentiality and always respects the integrity and confidentiality of the clients.
  • Must display proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and overall general computer skills. Excellent and effective written and oral skills are essential, along with strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work individually or as a team.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Job Responsibilities

  • Return telephone and email communications promptly.
  • Maintain professional competency in Transitional Housing Services through appropriate
    professional training, attendance at workshops and conferences in addition to consultation with other professionals in the Transitional Housing Services field. Attend training activities provided by federal and state program sources.
  • Support Transitional Housing clients with admission into the program through intakes, client advocacy, crisis intervention, goal-setting assistance, safety planning, locating local resources, and attending meetings at client’s discretion.
  • Meets with clients in their homes or in the community.
  • Collaborate with Domestic Violence Victims’ advocates to assist their clients in finding safe housing, self-sufficiency, and coordinate follow-up services for program participants.
  • Communicate with landlords and property managers to create lasting partnerships, ensure rent payments are made on time, and necessary documents are exchanged.
  • Provide services in a manner that supports best practices, client centered, and trauma in-formed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director or Transitional Housing Coordinator.
