General Description
Desired applicant must be able to perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks of routine difficulty in homes, duplexes, apartments and outdoors. Applicant must be self-motivated and able to work with elderly tenants and families. Tasks will involve repairs, cleaning and maintaining assigned properties. Preventive maintenance, ground keeping and property inspections, including assigned work orders and other duties as assigned.
Full time position Monday – Friday, under the general supervision of the Maintenance Lead and the Housing Director.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED, plus 1-2 years of experience and/or training in residential building maintenance and grounds keeping.
- Must possess an Oklahoma Driver’s License and be eligible to be added to the DTOI’s insurance and both must be maintained as a condition of employment.
- Must be able to pass drug test and background check.
- Must be able to communicate well, both oral and in writing, be able to manage people, and be able to shift assignments based on priority and /or direction.
- Must have the knowledge and experience to properly utilize, a variety of construction hand and power tools including chop saws, power washers and generators.
- The ability to correctly follow and give instructions for make-housing units ready for immediate move-ins, which, may include but not limited to: follow painting instructions, drywall preparation and repair instructions, texturing and sealing methods instruction, floor care instructions, the basic plumbing and electrical repair and grounds keeping.
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, pull or move objects weighing 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with safe techniques.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to keep records, project tracking reports, and must be self-motivated.
- Ability to accurately estimate time and materials required for repairs and/or maintenance work.
- Ability to work outdoors daily.

General Description
The Tribal Domicile is a division of the Delaware Tribe of Indians that has regulatory authority over companies formed and licensed under the Title 18 Business Corporation Act and Limited Liability Companies Act. These companies are either authorized to operate as a licensed insurance company under the Title 27 Insurance Company Act or are in the business of administering any aspect of a company licensed under the Insurance Company Act.
The Tribal Domicile is seeking a qualified professional to assist with day-to-day activities of forming, licensing, and recording companies formed or domesticated under the authority of The Tribal Domicile. This position will perform routine reinsurance administrative duties, such as maintaining records and processing and verifying new business. A high level of attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously is required. Interpersonal skills are pertinent as this person will be working closely with the Insurance Commissioner as well as an offsite contractor, Tribal Support Services.
Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities
- Learn about insurance and the structure of The Tribal Domicile
- Attend virtual and in-person training
- Assist in gathering and processing the necessary paperwork for reinsurance companies forming or domesticating in The Tribal Domicile including data entry and quality control
- Assist with maintaining QuickBooks
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Follow the chain of command with any issues or concerns
Computer Skills
- Intermediate typing skills required
- Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, File Explorer, PowerPoint) required
- Familiarity with online search engines required
- QuickBooks experience preferred
- Dropbox experience preferred

The General Maintenance Worker for the Delaware Tribe of Indians will perform repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Related experience preferred.
- On-the-job training offered.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
- Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at a time.

- Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Plans repair work using building’s blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
- Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
- Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
- Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

PUBLIC NOTICE: Comments Open Regarding Proposed Amendment to Housing Grant
PUBLIC NOTICE
The Delaware Tribe of Indians (DTI) is announcing the preparation of an amendment for ICDBG-ARP Grant # 22RP4007960. The Delaware Tribe’s proposed amendment involves an extension of 90 days to the original project timeline and does not change any of the planned activities to be conducted with the ICDBG-ARP funds which includes the rehabilitation and/or modernization of five DTO-owned affordable rental dwelling units to be used as potential quarantine facilities for families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Additional planned activities include the replacement and installation of new HVAC systems for approximately 100 STI-owned dwelling units to promote a healthier living environment for residents. In accordance with the citizen participation requirements contained in the ICDBG-ARP Implementation Notice, PIH Notice 2021-22, the DTI’s proposed plans for this funding are being made publicly available prior to application submission of the proposed amendment to HUD. Residents and other interested parties may submit any comments or feedback to the Delaware Tribe at the DTI Tribal Office located at 5100 Tuxedo Blvd., Bartlesville, OK 74006. The telephone number is 918-337-6590. Comments may also be submitted via email to cbiggoose@delawaretribe.org. In meeting the citizen participation requirement, the Delaware Tribe will take appropriate steps where necessary to ensure effective communication with persons with disabilities. The primary function of this position is to identify and acquire new funding sources for the Delaware Tribe of Indians programs and departments. Proposals, research, complete applications, and funding of grants are all required within a punctual and productive manner. Work will require initiative, organization, and strong communication skills both within the Tribal departments and with Grant Management support resources. Excellent verbal and written communication is pertinent.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and write grant proposals to meet Tribal needs as defined by management and leadership.
- Research, identify, and present grant applications from public and private sources/government and non-government agencies that align with targeted needs of the Tribe.
- Record retention of supporting documentation, guidelines, requirements and deadlines associated with all grants.
- Provides information, required monitoring documentation, and updates on a regular schedule as assigned by the Grant Management contract office.
- Provides technical assistance to program directors on existing grants such as, supplement requests and funding continuation.
- Grant research for cultural, statistical, historical and economic data for the use of grant proposals.
- Assist in grant and contract monitoring for compliance and regulation purposes.
