General Description
A Janitor is a professional who is a vital part of any business. They are responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy facility by completing various tasks. This can include mopping, vacuuming, waxing floors, disinfecting surfaces, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash cans, and maintaining a clean space. The goal is to keep our building and campus in a respectable and orderly condition
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Requires a high level of personal, integrity, and ability to work independently
- Must be self motivated, have a high moral and ethical standards
- Requires a high level of problem solving, accuracy, and organization skills
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills.
- Requires good interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to handle cleaning equipment and machinery
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff
- Follow all health and safety regulations
Hours
Monday through Friday 3:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M.

General Description
The Director of the Delaware Tribal Environmental Program is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to the department and its staff in order to protect the safety of Delaware citizens, employees, and lands.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: Bachelor Degree in a related field preferred, or 5 years field related work experience.
- Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
- Requires a high level of problem solving and organization skills
- Must have experience in website design and maintenance
- Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions
- Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Requires good interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
- Requires a high level of confidentiality
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Requires the ability to lift 80 lbs. or more
- Requires grant writing skills
- Must have clean driving record- required to drive departmental vehicle to meetings and/or training.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead Delaware Tribal Environmental Protection Program to provide direction and oversight to staff
- Produce monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required
- Produce annual plan for the department for approval by the Tribal Operations Manager
- Responsible for developing new tribal environmental programs
- Responsible for developing tribal environmental capacity and assessing the feasibility of assuming jurisdiction for environmental programs
- Responsible for researching and writing proposals for new funding
- Implements and updates effective environmental policies
- Manages all required department Tribal and Federal reporting functions
- Serves as liaison with tribal, state, and federal agencies
- Other duties as assigned by Tribal Operations Manager

The 2023 Delaware Days will be held on September 29-30 at Fall-Leaf Memorial Campgrounds in Copan, OK. There will also be a Benefit Gourd Dance held there at that time. Please see the flyers below for more details.

NEW DATE: Lenape E-Waste Recycle Event To Be Held Saturday, September 9, 2023

The Delaware Tribe of Indians Environmental Program will hold a E-Waste Recycling Event on Saturday, September 9, 2023 (Please note that this is the event originally schedule for September 2). The collections will take place from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. at the Tribal Headquarters at 5100 Tuxedo Blvd. Bartlesville OK 74006. This event is open to both Tribal members and the general public.
