Archaeological Field School & Tribal Specialist Training Offered at West Chester University

Join us at West Chester University for a 4-week cultural resources training and certification course!

This accredited course is based upon the Register of Professional Archaeologists (RPA) recommendations and will prepare participants for Secretary of Interior Certification.

Participants will learn about:

  • Historic preservation laws
  • Tribal consultation policies
  • Cultural research techniques
  • Archaeological field methods

Program Details:

  • 10 seats available
  • 4 week accelerated course (2 weeks virtual, 2 weeks in person)
    • May 19 to 30 online
    • June 2 to 13 on site
  • Travel costs and all other expenses paid!
  • All participants will earn 4 college credits

There is NO cost to tribal participants. Per Diem will be provided for the in-person session. All costs are funded through the National Park Service and National Park Foundation.
