Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day operations of Tribal Office.
  • Provide guidance and direction and support in management of staffing and operations.
  • Maintain strict security, confidentiality, and quality to meet professional standards of the Tribe.
  • Perform assignments related to projects and programs assigned by the Tribal Business Manager.
  • Meet regularly with the Tribal Business Manager and with the Chief/Tribal Council to discuss activities, concerns, issues, and programs of the Tribe.
  • Maintain a smooth functioning workplace.
  • Coordinate work orders with DFMS.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • A knowledge of the Tribe and Tribal History is imperative.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Tribe’s policies and applicable laws as assigned by the Tribal Manager.

Educational/Work Experience Requirement

Associates Degree in applicable field or equivalent of five years’ experience in supervision.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyzes, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write business correspondence using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective presentations to top management, public groups, and/or Tribal Council.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Windows Office suite, including Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

Other Skills and Abilities

Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and problem solving capabilities.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
