Child Support Enforcement Program

This grant will enable the tribe to develop a Child Support Enforcement program. While the program is still relatively small, the tribe of one of a growing number of tribal entities participating in this program overseen by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). As of February 2012, there were 42 fully comprehensive and 11 start-up tribal child support (TCSE) programs funded nationally.

Our start-up funding allows for reasonable and necessary costs to develop a TCSE program to meet the program objectives. After completion of the start-up portion of the grant, the Tribe will be eligible for a comprehensive program.

Tribal member Curtis Zunigha is the Director of the program. He will work with the Tribal Court and others to explore other TCSEs in Oklahoma and Kansas to make recommendations on Tribal Policy for the program.
